| Contop Plus |
Contop Plus is a premixed non metallic floor hardener used to form monolithically hardened concrete floors. Contop Plus provides a hardened abrasion resistant surface and can also be used to inhibit dust formation.
USES & ADVANTAGES
Used to provide a low cost, heavy duty concrete floor subject to heavy loads and traffic e.g. workshops, warehouses, car parks, garages, production areas, hospitals, schools, commercial floors, shopping centres, loading bays, industrial complexes etc.
Advantages include:

• Resistant to petrol, mineral solvents and common chemicals. • Creates dense, easy to clean surfaces.
• Non dusting nor rusting.
• Suitable for wet areas.
• Available in a range of colours.
Appearance: Grey, green, red, yellow or cream
Specific Gravity: 1.4 kg./L.
Moh Hardness: Aggregate 7-8 (steel score)
Abrasion Resistance: Concrete improved by at least 225%
Tested to ASTM D4060 Taber Abrader & BS 6431 Part 20
Once the freshly poured and levelled concrete has reached its plastic state the substrate should be smoothened using mechanical trowels. After bleed water has evaporated and concrete has a wet shine. Contop Plus should be sprinkled over the concrete surface at the recommended rate of application. When the applied Contop Plus appears uniformly moistened level out with a wood float or a power float. Finish with a steel trowel to obtain a smooth, uniform surface.
CURING
Correct curing should be applied e.g. Corcure 90 to prevent rapid loss of water, crazing and bloom.
SUBSEQUENT FINISHES
Due to its high density & low porosity subsequent finishes are not normally required. Congard Acrylic may be used as a further sealer, however, tests must be carried out first.
Contop Plus is alkaline avoid contact with skin & eyes. Gloves, goggles and dust mask should be worn. Skin should be washed with water to remove & splashes in the eyes washed out with copious amounts of clean water and medical attention sought. Contop Plus is nonflammable.
